I had the privilege of interviewing a patient last week after she completed a Wellness Week. It was exciting to me to listen to her recount her positive experience on the Wellness Week. She told me that prior to the Wellness Week she was having problems thinking clearly, finding her words when speaking, and she felt like she was all tied up and bound.
In one week she notes that she was feeling improved cognition, finding her words, felt free and flexible, and felt overall healthier! Her closing comments on the video below provide fantastic advice to patients…”just do it for you”. People will do a lot of things for themselves. They will treat themselves to the extra piece of chocolate cake, the fancy new nails, the newest hairstyle, the latest fashion, that new car and the list goes on and on. Unfortunately, very few people will actually take the time to treat themselves to good health.
Many feel they can’t invest the time necessary to improve their health because they are “too busy” taking care of everyone around them. Stop and think about it for a moment. How many people rely on you? Your kids? Your spouse? Your boss? The point is, there is most likely someone that does depend on you and what better way to be there for them than improving your health and quality of life!
Take the time. Make the investment. Get healthy today. Just do it for you!
